News & Reports

Final table reached

There will be a short break whilst the final table is prepared and the draw for seats is made.

Ioannou on final table bubble

Peter Ioannou moved all-in for around 50k in the cut-off and was quickly called by Luke Abolins in the big blind. Ioannou’s needed help with K 9 against the J J of Abolins. The board ran out 8 8 2 2 T and Ioannou’s trademark exclamation of “bow-chicka-wow-wow” was nowhere to be heard. He finished in 10th.

Down to 10

Bryan Donovan and Zachary Ford get it all in pre flop with Ford having Donovan’s 89,000 covered.
It’s two big hands – aces for Donovan and queens for Ford and there is heartbreak for Donovan when 4 6 Q 5 K are dealt to elminate him in 11th.

Sepanji out

Mustafa Sepanji moved all-in for around 70k under the gun and was called by Alistair Findlay in middle position. Sepanji was in a spot of bother with K Q against Findlay’s A Q. A board of 2 T 7 8 2 improved neither hand and Sepanji exited the torunament in 12th position.

AA vs KK

Ben Chisholm and Bryan Donovan both get their big stacks into the middle and show AA and KK

Chrisholm hits an Ace on the turn and its all over. Donovan takes a HUGE hit to his stack while Ben Chrisholm has gone from a small stack to chip leader in less than 20 minutes!

Final board: 5 2 9 A 4

Sepanji survives

Wass Shahid raised to 18000 in the cut-off and Mustafa Sepanji re-raised all-in for an additional 20000 in the big blind. Shahid made the obligatory call with J 6 and found himself facing overcards in the form of Sepanji’s A Q. A board of 4 9 4 5 T improved neither hand and Sepanji survived.

Level up

Blinds are now 4000/8000 with an 800 running ante.

Pav Heer - Out

Pav Heer has been knocked out of this tournament while moving all in for 20k pre-flop and getting two callers and another raise.

At the end of the hand it was the Queens of Ben Chisholm that took down Pav Heer, and the pot.

3 way all in

Luke Abolins moves all in for 54,800 and Peter Ioannou calls from the cut off. He’s probably not too keen to see Ben Chisholm also move in behind him on the button though.
The blinds fold and we see that Abolins has 7 7 , Ioannou has A J and Chisholm holds A K

There is no improvement for anyone as 3 9 3 K 3 pop out and Abolins wins the main pot to treble up. Chisholm takes the side pot and Ioannou probably wishes he’d never called such a big bet with AJ.

Lynne Beaumont now all in

Lynne Beaumont doesn’t have much left and she sticks it in hoping to collect the blinds and antes. She’s a few off the button though and has a lot of hands to get through, and finds that she’s going to get looked up straight away as Alistair Findlay calls immediately on her left.
Everyone else folds and Lynne finds she’s well behind Findlay’s J J with her 7 8
It’s a great flop of 7 9 8 for Beaumont as she takes the lead with two pair. Findlay goes on to improve on both the turn and river though and 10 A give the lead back to him and Beaumont hits the rail.
