That's more like it

A bit of a slow start saw most of the field still in contention at the break but there have been a few quick eliminations at this new level. Michael Clay, Jehan Zaib, Andy Bradshaw and Stephen Holden have all been seen busting out of the tournament area in the past few minutes


Double-Up for Lynne Beaumont

Lynne Beaumont doubles up with Kings against her opponents AK for a pot of around 14,000

Beaumont got her final 3450 chips in on the turn.

Gary Bowden Doubles Up.

A short stacked Bowden gets all his chips in with AJ and is called by Alan Vinnicombe with A10.

Bowden avoids a 10 and doubles-up to 3500.

After Zachary Ford folds Owens shows 7 5 for the bluff and his read that Ford can’t possibly be strong enough to call is correct. You’ve got to get all the chips somehow.

As we approach table 1 there are plenty of chips on the table with the board reading 4 10 6 5 A
David Smith has bet 1600 but Anthony Rosario has raised to 5725 leaving Smith scratching his head. The call is eventually made and Rosario flips over 9 K for the nuts.
Smith loses a big pot but he you can’t blame him for making the call – he had 8 J

David McLauchlan bets out 2,000 into a pot of 3,000 and is called by Terry Owens.

McLauchlan bets out another 3,000 and Owens quickly folds. A pot of 10,000 is pushed to McLauchlan, who shows everyone Q Q


Welcome to the table

Anthony Kennedy has recently joined the tournament as an alternate and quickly found himself put to the test. After Kennedy raised pre-flop Colin Wu moved all in, leaving Kennedy with a difficult early decision. After letting out a sigh Kennedy folds pocket queens face up and preserves his tournament life.


Zachary takes down a nice pot.

Zachary Ford bets out 1,500 into a pot of 3,000 on a board of 8 4 K 4 6 and after a while, is called by David Maudlin.

Zachary shows pocket Kings for the Full House and Maudlin mucks his hand.
