News & Reports

Zachary Ford in control

Zachary Ford has just moved into a commanding position in this tournament after a big hand against Joni Hellroons.
On a flop of 4 6 9 Hellroons decided to play his flush draw with bottom pair aggressively and got it all in holding K 6
Ford’s Q Q held up when 3 and 3 fell and he now has a big stack in front of him.

Nice pot for Brian Fouracre

Brian Fouracre flops three of a kind (J) and thinks for a while before betting 10K. G. Hunt calls. The board is J5J9. No improvement for G. Hunt’s flush draw. Brian bets 5K more, Hunt calls again. Deuce completes the board and Brian wins a nice pot.

Steven Craig - Out

He managed to hit a Jack on the flop but his opponent makes the straight on the river.

Final board: 7 10 J 3 Q

Libertini dispatched

After some preflop action, Martino Libertini moved all-in for around 10k on a king high flop. Joni Hellroons insta-called with pocket jacks and was delighted to find Libertini with pocket tens. Turn and river bricked out and Libertini hit the rail.

Colclough in a big pot

On a flop of K 9 3 Billy Ngo leads out for a small bet of 1600 which Dave Colclough calls from the button.
When the 8 falls on the turn Ngo again leads out for a small bet which looks to be around 3000. Colclough seems like he doesn’t really know where he stands and puts in a small raise of 4000 on top to test the water.
Ngo calls again and A is the river card. When Ngo checks Colclough seems to sense weakness and moves 10,000 into the middle. After some thought Ngo makes the call and it becomes apparent that it wasn’t a value bet from Dave. He flips over J 8 whilst Ngo has A 4 They were both chasing the flush and Ngo hit top pair on the river to win a decent sized pot.

Davies stands down

After considerable preflop action, Zachary Ford led out on a Q J 3 flop and Thomas Davies moced all-in. The decision was for most of Ford’s chips and he agonised before making the call with K K. This was ahead of Davies’ A Q. Turn and river were 5 8, sending Davies to the rail.

Kelly betting fails

A short-stacked Patrick Kelly has been eliminated by G Rodger’s spade flush. He must be ruing his decision to fold his pockets eights shortly before the break.

Khosrowpour out

Looking for a double up for his short stack, Peajmaan Khosrowpour pushes it in with AK and despite getting the sort of call he wanted from AJ, a jack pops up to see him exit the tournament.

After a short break the players will be returning to blinds of 400/800 with a 100 ante.
