Play has resumed

After a short break, play has resumed for 33 players with blinds at 2000/4000 anda running ante of 400.

McCarthy doubles up last hand before break

Scott McCarthy hits a set of 9’s from a pocket pair against Chao Li’s AQ.

Despite an Ace on the flop giving a glimmer of hope for Li, he doesn’t find any help on the turn or river and doubles McCarthy’s 49k stack up.

Cawthra - Double Up.

Cawthra manages to double up his very short stack by moving in with pocket fives and getting called by K9

Cawthra hits a set on the flop and rivers a boat.

Board: 7 6 5 4 7

Pot size: 14000

Taramas shoves 83k UTG with KQo and spikes

John Taramas made a brave move by shoving from under the gun for 83K on a big blind of 3k and was called by Scott McCarthy in the Big Blind with A K

Taramas’ KQ-unsuited hit a board of 5 Q 4 2 5 to give him the double up

Matt Dale - Out

Matt dale moves all-in for 42100 and after a couple of minutes thought, is called by Jamie Reeve.

Dale manages to strike a little deal with Reevio just before they deal the flop and now has 8% of Reeve. (Reeve would have had 15% of Dale, if he survived)

The flop came 3 5 6 which helps Reeve a little more.

A 6 and a 4 gives Reeve a straight and knocks out Dale.

Ferro runs into Kray Twins and exits

Nick Ferro moves all in pre-flop with KQ after a raise and runs into KK.

A Queen on the turn brings a moment og hope and an eager crowd of onlookers but the remaining out is nowhere to be seen and Ferro heads to the rail.

Li wins much needed double up

Chao Li on a perilously short 16k stack moves all in from EP with A 2 and is called by John Taramas with 9 9

An ace out on the flop and no reprieve for the 9s gives Li some breathing space.
