Gala Casinos Poker Tour - Bristol Day 1B

News & Reports

Poker proving a distraction

Michael Hill pushes all-in over C Tran’s 600 UTG raise for about 6000. The raise isn’t called but the table is a little peeved that they didn’t notice Ruud van Nistelroy equalising for Holland in the football as a result.

Luke McKee - Out

Having just moved tables, McKee finds 66 in the small blind and raises to 2k total. The BB calls with 34 and on a flop of 567 no boat appeared to save McKee.

Back off break

With blinds of 200/400 and a running ante of 25 with 80 players remaining

Break

the tournament is now on break.

Thomson, Dyson and Read out

Just before the break, Derek Thomson, David Dyson and Jim Read.

Thomson’s exit was with 88 versus Pat Simcoe’s AK all in preflop. Simcoe spiked a King to bust the 88.

Freerolling

Alex Torrance, winner of the £1000 event at the final of the GCBPT Season 1, flops the nut straight with 7 8 along with the straight flush draw which he duly hit but wasn’t able to get as well paid as he might have hoped.

The Wright Stuff...

Keith’s run continues when he smooth calls a raise to 2k in late position with AK.

His opponent’s pocket Aces were no good on a flop of J-T-Q and Keith increases his stack to 53k.

Angus Dunnington - Out

Angus’ short-stacked all in with AA for 2900 with 2 callers runs into a set of 8’s and Angus heads to the rail.

Level up

Blinds now 200/400

Allan out when his QJ runs into 72 on a QJ2 flop

David Allan hit a harsh bad beat against Keith Wright who limped preflop with 72o.

Dave’s QJ hit a flop of QJ2 hard and raised Wright’s bet. Wright called Allan’s all in and spiked a 7 and another 2 for a 2’s-full boat.
