David Maudlin shows 89os for a flopped straight while his opponent (Neil Sillick) tables A K for the nut flush.

The meaningless turn and river cards of 6 2 gives Sillick a nice double up.

This is quickly called by the Big Blind while the initial raiser folds.

Hardwidge tables pocket 6’s while the Big Blind tables Kings.

Hardwidge gets no help and is knocked out of the tournament.

Martin Millar gets a long waited-for double up when his AQ holds up against Taramas’ A7.

With blinds at 300/600/50 Millar is now on just over 16k.

Rod's catch got away

Rod Buckman caught more than he bargained for when he re-raised from the small blind with AK after a MP raiser.

Getting flat called, he leads on on a flop of AT7 (rainbow) with a big enough bet to committ himself.

His opponent had AT.

Still, Rod can content himself with a first place on wednesday’s night £100 FO and 9th in last night’s £200 FO. I’m pretty sure we’ll be hearing more from Rod in the future.
