Gala Casinos Poker Tour - Nottingham Day 2 - Final

News & Reports

Whitmore gone

Richard Whitmore moved all-in for 21k on the button and was looked up by Tom Rutter in the big blind. Whitmore’s A 5 was in trouble against Rutter’s A J. There was hope of a chop when the flop fell 9 9 4 and this became hope of a win when 2 landed on the turn. However, the river K quickly put an end to Whitmore’s dreaming and he hit the rail with £1,000.

The Fall of Constantinou

Xenophon Constantinou moved all-in for 12,600 on the button and small blind Dominic Kay moved all-in to isolate. He got the fold from the big blind. A 5 for Constantinou and A T for Kay. The board ran out A 9 9 5 2 making Kay a flush and sending Constantinou to the rail.

The bubble has burst. Next player out gets £1,000.

Blinds Up

3000/6000 with a 600 ante.

Kings, anyone?

C Young raises it to 15,000 under the gun, everyone else folds.

As the blinds are pushed to him, he tables Kings.

Fronba pushes twice in a row.

It’s now hand for hand on the final 3 tables and Fronba on table 3, has pushed twice in a row, getting no action on both occasions.

It's bubble time

Richard Howe takes another scalp, this time S Outgajjouf, calling a push of 21,000 with A J with Outgajjouf showing 9 9

The board is T 3 J 3 7

Luong-Huu Bui takes down Zafir Aslam

A very short-stacked Aslam pushed his 16,000 chips into the middle in late position. He is quickly called by Bui who held A K to Aslams J 8

Flop: 6 Q 6 10 J

Aslam hits his Jack on the river but it is useless because Bui makes his straight.

22 remain.

Howe's about that

Richard Howe on the button flops two pair with his 9,10 on a board of T 9 Q and makes a small 7,000 bet into small blind Tom Rutter. Rutter calls and then both players quickly check the turn of 3 The 4 on the river is going to change nothing but Howe is still too wary of the straightening flushing board to bet his two pair for value. Rutter shows K T for the single pair and Howe takes a pot of around 25,000.
