100 chips raced off

Blinds up to 6000/12000 with a 1000 running ante.

River Bedi

Rupinder Bedi moved all-in for 21k in early position and Richard Howe reraised a further 39k in the small blind. Big blind Steve Milton appeared to have a tough decision but eventually passed. A 3 for Bedi versus K 4 for Howe. The first two cards out K 4 appeared to extinguish all hope for Bedi but the presence of the 3 on the flop gave him some succour. The turned J did not help the all-in player but the rivered 3 resuscitated him.

Fronba goes

It’s folded to Dave Mauldin in the small blind holding A K and inevitably all the chips go in the middle as big blind and short stacked Ryan Fronba holds J J

The board reads 7 K T 2 Q and 15 remain.

Less is Moore

Gary Moore moved all-in on the button with 9 7 and was called by James Keys in the big blind with A J. The flop was good for Keys – A T A – but the K on the turn made it interesting for Moore. However, the 9 on the river did not help his cause and he busted in 17th, trousering £1,300.

S Lawrence doubles up

Lawrence gets it all in with AA pre-flop with Rupinder’s AJ

The board J 9 Q 7 10 is no help to Rupinder and Lawrence picks up a pot of around 260000.

Fronba steals the blinds.

Fronba moves in for 40500 and gets not callers. Picks up the blinds.

The lull before the storm?

Given that the average stack contains fewer than seven rounds of blinds and antes, play has become surprisingly cagey over the last half hour. Will any of the big stacks notice this and exploit it?

Two hands

Richard Howe raised to 24k in early position and Tom Rutter reraised a further 45k in the small blind. After what seemed like an eternity Howe mucked red eights face up.

The next hand Spencer Lawrence made it 22k to go in middle position and Luong-Huu Bui peeled off the call in the big blind. Bui checked the K 5 9 flop and Lawrence went into the tank. Eventually he counted out a 31k bet and Bui quickly moved all-in. Lawrence’s fold was even quicker.

Moore doubles up on Byrom

Bryrom raises and Moore quickly gets all his chips in the middle. After a couple of minutes, Bryom makes the call and shows pocket 6’s while Moore shows his Kings.

Flop: 5 4 A

Turn: 7

River 7

Moore collects a pot worth 89400.
