Byrom takes out Clarkson

Graham Clarkson limps in for 4,000 and Byrom makes it 11,000 from the big blind and Clarkson reraises to 31,000. Byrom pushes all in for around 98,000 and Clarkson calls and flips over 5 6! Byrom shows black aces and the board is of no help, 2 K 4 K 4 and Byrom rakes a huge pot in rather bizarre circumstances.

That's Howe Two Do It

With the blinds at 2k/4k, James O’Connell moved all-in for 51k under the gun. Richard Howe called in middle position and Donovan Burton called for his remaining 31k on the button. 8 8 for O’Connell, A A for Howe, K K for Burton. The board ran out 7 6 4 9 9 and Howe bagged two kills.

Level Up

Players are back from their break and blinds are now 2000/4000 with a 400 ante.

The remaining 4 tables

Byrom changes gears on Clarkson

Gordon McArthur raised to 8.5k from the cut-off and Graham Clarkson reraised an additional 20k on the button. Big blind Daniel Byrom moved all-in for a further 35k and McArthur got out of the way. Clarkson shrugged and made the call. It was a race: T T for Clarkson and A K for Byrom. The first card out was K and that proved enough for Byrom as the rest of the board ran out 6 4 8 5.

Ngo out

Billy Ngo has been eliminated from the tournament.

He got his all his chips (around 21k) in pre-flop with 9 8 and was called by Steve Milton’s AK.

Anthony Chapman ponders a call but then folds his Jacks face up.

Both players make a pair on the flop but Ngo’s lower pair does not improve on the turn and river. He is knocked out.

Final board.

A 3 8 7 10

That's a wrap

Richard Howe raised to 7500 in the cut-off and Oliver Stone moved all-in for a further 5200 in the small blind. The call was obligatory. A 5 for Howe, 9 9 for Stone. Stone did not have to wait long to know his fate as the first card out was A. The rest of the board read Q 3 K K and Stone left the room.

Ozzy Out

On a flop of 7 T 9 Graham Clarkson moves in on Ozzy Izuogu. Izuogu stands for a minute before calling off his last 25,000 or so and showing A J which is well behind Clarkson’s Q T The 4 and 6 change nothing and Ozzy is gone.
