Lewis looked up

S. Scarce raised to 4000 from the cut-off and R. Lewis called in the big blind. Both checked a flop of K T 7 and Lewis, perhaps sensing weakness, quickly moved all-in for 11800 when 5 came on the turn. Scarce asked for a count and eventually made the call. Lewis flipped over A 3 and was found himself a country mile behind Scarce’s A Q. She didn’t even need her flush draw. The 9 river did not provide Lewis with the required two-outer and he hit the rail.

Level Up

Mark Angioy is out

A flop of 9 Q 10 gives Mark a straight flush draw but the turn and river of 7 & 6 let him down.

Smith crisped

Dave Smith got it all-in pre-flop with A K against Michael Millar’s J J. The board ran out Q 2 2 Q 3 and sent Smith to the rail.

Andrew Doren eliminated

We’re down to 60 players.

Burke chopped

J. Burke raised to 2000 in early position and Sidicki Mohange moved all in for 8200 in middle position. Steven Laughlin did likewise for 8925 on his immediate left and it was folded back to Burke. He weighed up the value and decided to call with 8 8. He was in great shape against Mohange’s A K and Laughlin’s A K. The flop 9 5 3 was good for Laughlin but Burke was still in the box seat. However, the turn K was not kind to Burke and the river Q meant that the big slickers chopped it up.

Angell doubles up over Woodruff

Angell moves in for all his chips pre-flop and is called by James Woodruff.

Turn: 6

Double up for Angell.
