Roberto Romanello's Profile
One of the more well known players to come from Wales, Robert took up poker in 2005 after being housebound for three months following a football injury. He won a WPT package online within the first two weeks of playing and went on to bubble the actual event. After this he started playing in his local casino.
He won the €500 Barcelona Open in 2006 for $53,462 and in 2007 placed third in the GUKPT for $67,318. His best result came from winning the Partypoker.com European Open V in 2009 for $200,000 and currently has $623,159 in world wide winnings.
His family also run an award winning fish and chip restaurant which has been running for over 30 years and he still maintains an active role in the business.
