The Brits Best Game?Four Queens Poker Classic, Las Vegas Today sees the first event on the Prima Poker Tour and it’s Pot Limit Omaha with rebuys and add-ons. You may remember the good showing in the Omaha events from the European contingent at this years WSOP. This really is a game that we understand better than our American rivals. However there were a number of excellent European Omaha players here in May and so far the only other Europeans that I have seen are Mick Cook (knowledgeable and very capable poker professional), Tony Bolton (very experienced player) and Ian Greer ( a solicitor who plays recreationally at the Victoria in London) and the field in the earlier events have seen numbers of 308, 218 and 169 for NLH and 179, 169 and 113 for other events so there could well be a lot of American competition today as it would appear that not too many Brits have flown the 5425 miles to the Four Queens Festival. |
