friend has a iphone5 s

think it was delivered to him and he said it didnt show up and they sent another and then they both showed up..............not sure of how that goes........

is there a way to get that iphone 5 s working on another network etc? to unlock it?

im actually in process of unlocking my iphone4 and the way apple do is they activate ur phone and u follow some instructions and hook it up to itunes.

im wandering is that 5s now just a brick or is it worth anything? cos i might buy it from him is possible.

he did mention something about not being able to unlock it in the uk...im in ireland would that work?

Who's Jim?

Your 'friend' could just do the right thing and call the delivery company to come and collect the extra phone.

If it was network locked, the handset has probably been IMEI blacklisted if it was reported as missing/stolen

The network has to unlock the phone, which is then logged with Apple as having being done, so the next time the phone is restored, Apple will restore it to an unlocked state. However, if the phone has been registered as missing or stolen by the network, and the IMEI blacklisted, that too would be reflected by Apple in the restore process.

Only way to see is stick a sim in it and see.

Or, send it back, its stolen.
