Bit late, but hey ho. I know there's a few hammers on here, just watched you's get done at Forest, just wondering your thoughts on what allardyce did re: team selection, I'd have him hung.

When i read the post match report it made no sense - Considering what they have to go for this season, why would he not field his first team or close to it against opposition that would always put up a tough test.

I was expecting to read the match report and then a statement saying Allardyce had been sacked. Too many good managers out of work to allow this knob head to manage a premiership side (well for this season at least).

I can understand his reasoning. Avoiding relegation by sacrificing a much devalued cup (they're talking about doing away with FA Cup replays) is a better option than risking players, and relegation, by delaying your cup exit by 2 or three rounds.

I think they should have another tournament that only the smaller teams can enter like Spurs, Newcastle and Man United. Angel

Couple of years, Man Ure will be in the St Johnstones Paint Trophy. Very Happy

Never seen Old Trafford so empty so long before the final whistle.

Made me laugh when he said his priorities are the game against Cardiff and the league cup semi final, does he REALLY think they have any chance against City over two legs ??? If he does he's deluded. They'll get the run around good and proper at the Etihad then have a massive lesgue game a couple of days later.
I think that putting all his eggs in the Andy Carroll basket then the re signing Carlton Cole debacle make him look pretty stupid, think some of his backroom reshuffles look decidely iffy too. (I have a great story about one of them, and this person is a first team coach in the Premier League with West Ham now !!! ) Still think they'll stay up though (just).

as i said at the end the of last seson. that is the worst united side i have seen win the league and may be one of the worst side, full stop, to win the league. You cant blame moyes that van persie got injured. Our midefield is the worst it has been for years and without a stream of youth coming through it makes a team very expensive. just look at the outlay of chelsea and man city to keep pass as also rans.

Whatever they say about their ownership we definitely do not have the finds that being the most expensive club in the world should have.
To be honest, rather than go to the precarious state chelsea, man city, and even cardiff, are in i would prefer a few years of rebuilding. As that can turn into a 30 slump like liverpool i can understand the worries.

I have always thought of arsenal as one of the best run clubs. Just watching the run they are on, and how it shut up the idiots on here let alone the real fans was priceless.

Beckham, scholes, giggs, keane, schmeichel , robson, parker, irwin were all born winners that never undertsood or accepted they were beaten. That is minute 1 to 90 + (till we score).

The current crop are a mixture of people that think they have acheived something by playing for united and that if they turn up they should win. That diving twat ashley cole. Inconsistent valencia. carrick who whould never be playing for us. anderson (just shite). cleverley and wellbeck that are unfinished articles. ferdinand (failed midfielder), vidic 9old and injury prone, de gea(unfinished article).

I could go on but there is no point. Fergie took a calculated risk. A huge one with the fergie babes. He had years of experience with top players and knew they were the future. He had robson too that cant of hurt.
That does not mean we should gamble all the time. 27m for fallani. wtf.

In a perfect we would of kept producing great footballing sides and occassionaly a team would produce a better one. This was not to be and may never be again. The most inconsistent start for man city, united, chelsea and to a degree arsenal has seen arsenal go top of the rather depleted and shambolic heap. It has been said that this favours the neutral but i dont see how worse football can be of any benefit.
I can foresee us coming unstuck against the big teams in europe in the next round and although chelsea won the euro cup with the worst team since red star belgrade and 3 touches per match i dont think many fans want to see such nonsense when, with the amount of money in the premiership we should be competeing on even terms with any teams.

i had to write this is a rush so grammar nazi can go f themselves

Allardyce should be charged with match fixing, he blatantly threw the game and i felt the way he done it was spiteful.

At no level do West Ham use a back three whether that be first team, reserve U21, U18 etc. and I doubt you'll see us employ it for the rest of the system. So not only does he throw the debutants in, he puts them in a system which is alien to them and them compounds that by offering Jarvis and Downing as protection playing as wing backs.

We have struggled to score goals all season and questions have been asked as to why we don't throw one of the youth team in upfront, they couldn't do any worse than what we have currently. The dustbin headed **** doesn't like being questioned, he'll now in his odious, smug way say 'Well, look what happens when you put kids in the first team' however there is a huge difference betweeen chucking a kid on for half an hour upfront and sending a team out like lambs to the slaughter.

His attitude was disgusting, who are we to say the cups aren't important ? West Ham are not going to win the league (no, seriously we won't) we won't be getting into the Champions League so if we are not going to bother to compete in cup games what is the point of our existence ? To make up the numbers in the premier league ?

As much as I want to see the back of him I think he should be made to see it through to the bitter end. I think we will just about stay up whch will be down to a lack of quality in the league in general but if we are to be relegated it should stain his CV and regardless of what happens he needs to leave at the end of the season, preferably whilst on fire with only Modibo Maiga and Carlton Cole avialabe to aim the hoses.
