I think if you're taking shots at a higher level and are lucky enough to double - definitely stand up and leave. (This is a note to self I'm thinking of getting as a tattoo.)

If done as a habit or plan, then I think it's wrong. My weathervane here is that I wouldn't hit and run at the table with people I know, so I won't with strangers.

I don't really think most people have ethics on online poker and lets face it we are all out to win as much money as possible so if you win and your happy with that win then thats the time to leave

I know what you are saying and thinking jack, but i think the "ethical perspective" only comes into play when playing live Wink

as pingupro said there is no ethical perspective when playing online!

i sat down at 2 tables today jack, playing 10/25 i only ever put the min on each when i sit down, $10 on each and tripled up on 1 and doubled up the 2nd table, and within 20 mins i was out of there, Wink

I can't begin to fathom how either of you think this could be true. I guess you mean you can do things you wouldn't dare do to someone's face because they're not within swinging distance.

Jack - personally I wouldn't just coz it feels a bit douchy, but it's not a big deal and it seems a silly thing to do. You have the big stack, your opponent may be tilting/chasing, so if you were willing to play them before surely it's only got better for you.
