Top half ridiculously wide open
Bottom half is a frightening mine field

I like Whitlock in the top half @ 12/1 looks a cert to be able to trade off shorter deeper in the tournie

I don't reckon Whitlock is in good enough form. Bookies have made Thornton 3rd favourite behind Lewis and MVG, with his side of the draw opening up I think he'll make the final. Lewis will win it though

I'm thinking MVG will take it myself.

Is it just me who thought Kevin McDine looked like a butch lesbian?

he's always looked a bit feminine, he's lost a lot of weight since the last time I saw him on the darts too

Doing rather well on the 180's markets their lines at this stage are just getting smashed if your on the overs.
Ive no doubt the bookies will catch up but at the moment every game is going over @ just either side of even money
They are just so aggresive these days, the speed of the youngsters now is that if they hit the first one they just follow it in without blinking.
The pressure really comes at the other end of the leg for the new boys, but as far as 180's they are like machines
Michael Smith, Rapid Ricky Evans...these two alone in their 2nd round games had over 15 between them against big names
two nine darters already in the tournament with 2 more missing on the final dart, how good must these guys be in the practice room??

Bristow won 5 world titles and barely broke a 90 average..Vincent Van Der Vort tonight threw 98 point something...got smashed to bits 4-1 by Lewis and its only the last 32
Such an enjoyable sport to have a bet or two and a scream up at the screen...roll on after xmas Very Happy

P.S. Lewis looked like a man peaking superb for this tonight.
Hes now joint fav with MVG @ 2/1 and with MVG having to play Anderson>Barney and then LEWIS in the semis, and Lewis having gone the full distance twice before here..i know which of those 2/1 shots screams more value in my eyes

Yeah Lewis is winning this years 100%, it's a shame he'll meet MVG in the semi's or we could have had one of the best finals in a long time. The quality when they play each other is above anyone else but Lewis is definitely the most naturally gifted player on the circuit. Like O'Sullivan in snooker, when he's on his game there's no-one better to watch

The MVG - Lewis half of the draw is unbeliveable tough isn't it. I hope that those two get to the semi, but Anderson & Barney are looking good so could test MVG.

Lewis has a slightly easier run to the semi, but King, Wade or Pipe can all be a pain to play against and if Lewis goes back to the old days of losing his head, then he could beat himself.

Saying that, I do fancy Lewis to win it for a 3rd time.

There may be some value in Robert Thornton at 11/1, who I favour to come through that half of the draw, but Peter Wright looked good in the earlier rounds and wouldn't be a shocl. Kevin Painter may be the dark horse to get thru (could upset Whitlock).

There is a danger that Lewis or MVG get thru to the final after a really tough semi and don't bring their A game, which has happened many times before.

Im not so sure Reg, it all points to MVG i think but average wise Wrighty has consistently been touching 100 without any dips, i think itll be ALOT LOT closer than people think.

Stunned last night watching MVG vs Lewis, although it could of been a lot closer as Lewis didn't score too badly, he just missed too many key doubles. MVG was never under any pressure because of it. I had backed Lewis, so doubly disappointed.

Peter Wright has been playing great darts, I think you are right that it could be close, but I think it needs Wright to get off to a good start and get a couple of early sets under his belt, just so he is settled into the final.

The big surprise this tourney is how composed Wright has been and his consistancy has never been better, he seems a totally different player now.
