I'm off to watch the mighty Stourbridge Town play Biggleswade Town in the 1st Round proper tomorrow, both teams are in the same division so both have a great chance of being one game away from the big 3rd Round draw..

Is anyone else going to be there?! Very Happy
or more likely..
Anyone going to any other 1st Round games?

I remember travelling with Sutton Coldfield Town to Bolton Wanderers in 1992, Sutton took the lead at the old Burnden Park, but went on to lose 2-1. That year, Bolton went on to knock out Liverpool and Wolves, before losing in the 5th Round.. ahhhh the magic of the FA Cup.

I've been watching from the 1st qualifying round, unfortunately, no progression to the fabled land of the 1st round proper, nearest we've got is losing the 4th (final) qualifying round.

Maybe one day!

Was going to Oldham tomorrow to watch Wolves but have passed my tickets on as travel is a bit expensive. Usually go with a rowdy bunch on an unofficial travel coach but it is not making the trip tomorrow. Train is quite dear and inconvenient and I don't like the official travel because it's not as fun.

Could of made the trip to Stourbridge myself I guess to support the local side. Would be great for both Wolves and Stourbridge to get through and draw each other in the next round Very Happy

Barnsley will always be "my" team, but I watch Stocksbridge Park Steels in the (Evostik) Northern Premier League for my live football. Absolute horrible season at the moment!

Was born and raised in Enfield north london, remember growing up they had a massive non league following and FA Cup tradition, think they even won the conference two years running the last being the year before it gave you automatic promotion to league status.
All went wonky in the early 90's with the owner selling the ground off.
Remember one year they got to the 3rd round and moved the game to White hart lane and 35,000 turned up to watch them lose to swindon i think it was....Stevie King on the wing...ohhh when the FA cup Final was a massive day in football families..sigh
Cup Final Grandstand
Cup final wrestling lol
Even the team coaches leaving the hotels...im digressing Sad

Travelling to Stevenage today for Round 2 with Stourbridge (or stoneybridge as Sprengers amusingly calls it)
.. 'we' are the lowest placed team left in the competition, so all neutrals send us your good vibes!!

Come on you Glassboys!

Come on The Glassboys!

Spoiler:
Stourbridge manager Gary Hackett expects to have a fully-fit squad to choose from for the FA Cup tie.

The side welcome back Will Richards, Chris Knight (both illness) and Drew Canavan from injury.

The Glassboys are aiming to reach the third round for the first time in their 137-year history.

They sit sixth in the Evo-Stick Southern Premier and beat Biggleswade Town to book their date with Boro.
VIEWS FROM THE TRAINING ROOM

Stourbridge boss Gary Hackett:

"We're not going to Stevenage just to be part of the day.

"We're going there looking to get into the third round and to do that, we have to produce a big shock."

Oh well.. lost 4-0.. but 1st half we were the better side by a mile.. confirmed by their fans afterwards.. "the best team I've seen down here this season in the first half" (quote).. but conceded a goal just prior to half-time and that was that.. great laugh etc.... U know the drill.. time to move on to the 3rd round draw.. come on Kiddy!!!
