Thought I would open thread about my staking experience as it goes along. Will update monthly or so. All kicks off this week and quite excited, looking forward to the mentoring which will hopefully improve my game.
See you at the tables on Stars

I know very little about these type of arrangements and wondered if you could shed some light on it for me.

Don't want specifics but do you:

Get a certain amount each week or month
Have to undertake weekly or monthly reviews with the site
Are contractually tied to the site
Get access to additional literature and training as a result

Just started my first session this evening playing for Stake Me To Play.

I will, for the most part, play omaha8 and courchevel8. Also will probably play the Big 4.40 and Big 5.50.

My largest buy in that we have agreed to is $22 per tournament, but with a daily total allowance not to be exceeded. This is not a problem as bankroll management comes pretty easy to me.

I have a daily figure to play with, at the end of the day I send profits and data to my point of contact. If I lose then my account is topped up to make the agreed daily allowance.

Reviews on volume etc are reviewed regularly as we need to find the optimum volume.

The best bit for me personally is the mentoring. My game is bound to improve all round as I have 1 on 1 sessions with proven winning players. Great social aspect to it as well.

Thanks for all the best wishes

Really rooting for you to succeed on this Neil - and SMTP as a venture as well.

Have you been to the HQ yet? It sounds/looks great in the ads.

How long did it take from making your initial application for the staking arrangement to be set up?

No they don't stake for anything. An agreement is made for volume of tournaments played weekly and a daily bankroll to play with.

I only play on Pokerstars but all contracts are different.
Will find out more soon about coaches
