After being a season ticket holder at Ipswich for all but a yr between the ages of 11 & 19 i have had 19yrs of just going occasionally, But this yr i plan on going to ATLEAST 20 games, First game for me this season will be Ipswich vrs Stevenage next Tuesday at Stevenage.

I currently have 30 American film studies students 17-25trs old staying where i work so am taking 5 of them with me, as they want to experience REAL football.

Hope they are not expecting Man UTD v INTER lol

As most of my games will be away games im gonna give a little write up of various grounds (will mainly be quality of Balti Pies and such)

feel free to berate my choice of team, but i will point out i was born in Ipswich and raised less than 20 miles from Ipswich so if you are gonna berate me make sure you support your home team and are not just glory hunting bumders! or please atleast have been to minimum 50 home games for 'your' team!!!

Brilliant mate, especially the use of the word 'bumder', whatever that means. Fair play to you, and for taking guests, At a guess for the number of years I've been going (35), I am well over 500 games. I look forward to your trip reports, and we may meet up in one of the cups.

Yes, it was 4-0, you obviously saw the game in the pub and think all your players are 3 inches tall. Next question.

Just make sure to educate them about the 'S' word, and how to never use it outside of their own country.

Have got my first season ticket for 9 years this year as well as a coincidence.

Used to go everywhere, and missed about 6 games home/away league and cup in 5 years before I went uni.

Then uni took priority (by uni I mean drinking), moved abroad for work, and just fell out of the habit.

Don't think I'll get to many aways this season, as my weekends are busy enough that getting to home games is a big enough issue but hopefully I'll get to the few places I didn't get to the last time I signed up for the misery of following Millwall. Yeovil is the priority on that front I guess.

If you get brave enough to come to us let me know and I'll get you as safe a beer as I can. I won't be going Ipswich, been there and seen us lose too many times before.

Good old Lomas Very Happy

Grew up in Stevenage- remember going to Broadhall Way when you could sit behind the goal on a hill. Be interested to know what the grounds'slike these days Jon.

ST renewed again this year - can't wait for it to kick off as always.

Stevenage Vrs Ipswich 2-0

Ipswich never really turned up out played by a better team im sad to say.
Ref was totally one sided but even if he wasnt we should have and would have lost.

The ground is one of the most primative ive ever been to, as away fans we had the benefit of the whole of the sout stand behind the goal which IMO is the best place to sit.

Ipswich did out sing Stevenage by a long long way.

The beer in the club bar was served quickly and efficiently an was a steal at 2.95 a pint, Hot Dogs were 3.50 which i think is avg but the roll was mouldy!!!!!! im not even kidding.

late into the 2nd half the ref did actually give us a free kick at our end to which all 1500 Ipswich fans burst in to song "Your still a f*ck*ng w*nk*r" 5 minutes went past and one of the 5 american girls i took to the game started laughing, when asked what she was laughing at it turned out she had to google w*nk*r to find out what it ment lol

Ground 4/10
Refreshments 4/10 (would have been a 6 but mouldy roll)
Stevenage Fans Banter 2/10
Ipswich's performance 1.5/10
Parking 10/10 (under 5 mins walk and free)

Avoided Ipswich away thankfully due to being at UKIPT Galway, and missed our League Cup victory v AFC Wimbledon for the same reason.

Back at it tomorrow v Huddersfield, with 2 league defeats and no goals. Fun.
