I will NEVER EVER play on any IPoker skin again!
I was just playing the speed poker and i was holding KhQh in the BB i called a min raise from the SB and the flop came As 10c Jd, my opponent bets and i flat call turn comes blank, my opponent bets i flat call, the river comes another blank and i have the nuts my opponent shoves obv i snap call.
the pot is $62 i show the nuts and so does my opponent, the pot is shipped back to us and they rake $4 there fore we both end up with less than we started with.
How the hell can you have a winning hand and end up with less money than you started with!
I say again i will NEVER play on an I-Poker skin again! _________________ "There's not enough hippies to save our lives, We need more hippies" |

I will respect you if you stick to this.
Though I expect it's a drama post and you'll be back on there soon _________________ Nobody likes Grasses |

But Jon... isn't this the case, with this kind of hand, the same live and online wherever? _________________ "I find it's best to start the day with no composure and then you've got nothing to lose." B. Boatman

Best remove yourself from all poker sites and never play live again as well then mate. All hands that go post flop are raked regardless of splits.

As plenty of other people have pointed out, there was a flop, so the house took their drop, IIRC this was standard when I first played online poker (mid 2000s) and has been ever since, maybe having modern software that auto-tops up for you has stopped you noticing this in the past. A quick Google suggests that in the live world, there is no standard.
Once I realised this wasn't just a bad beat post were villain runner runners a flush, I thought the thing you were going to complain about was the $4 rake charge. Judging by your description of how the hand played out, you were playing micro NL, so according to Genting's site, you should only have been raked $3:
http://www.gentingpoker.com/cash-game...e-rake-structure/
You have a legitimate complaint and should contact Genting, then spill the beans to us! |
