Been trying out Speed Poker over the last couple of days, having upgraded HEM1 to include Leakbuster. Only playing to build up a little volume to analyse and didn't realise this promo was on until I noticed myself in the leaderboard.
Couple of things I just wanted to say:
Firstly and always: Love that Genting provide all of these promos and love the fact that they are always looking at trying different things. Nice one Gary+crew, keep up the good work.
Lastly, to help any fellow HM'ers: If you take part, you really need to decide on what you're wanting to achieve. For me, it would always be to play as well as possible, fine tune my game and hopefully end up over a period of time (personally only on NL5) with any promotion purely as a bonus.
If you are looking to high finish on the leaderboard however, which I'm sure a lot of people will, you really need to look at the scoring system and adjust both your playing style (hints already provided by Gary in this thread) and the limit accordingly.
I could be wrong here (and sure that someone will correct me if the case), but playing NL5 only hands with pots of over $0.20 generate rake, a lot of hands will therefore not qualify for leaderboard points.
Hopefully this will help people and was posted in the spirit of helping to encourage some healthy forum competition and not how to beat the system but remember it's a fun promo at the end of the day. Have fun & enjoy.
I'm off to analyse my many "F grades" in Leakbuster, could be away some time lol, but now I'm aware of the promo, will follow everyones progress with interest. Good luck all |

Think this is quite rightly private info.
Can tell you that I personally 1 & 2-tabled NL5 (only circa 600 to 1300 hands per day in a couple of very short bursts).
Averaged approx 250 hands/hr with leaderboard points of between 35 & 80 (per day).
I would dispute the extra benefit of going above 2-tabling as you're really not waiting long at all for next hand and can quick-fold 1 table whilst waiting for others on the 2nd to respond. You have to also weigh up any volume benefit against the RSI and mental wearyness factor. No lagging found whilst 2-tabling.
Think the way you play, the number of hands involved in and proportion of wins matters more.
You have plenty of days to try out different things though, get involved and see what works best for yourself.
Good luck |

I disagree. This is a race and I would like to know how much rake he achieved to win the race. |

I cannot share detailed information about Rake or other elements, it is based on a scoring system, so players should be able to have a stab at working it out themselves! If a couple of players have worked out a good ratio of hands played / raked / won then I think thats fair to them to keep their secrets secret.... _________________ AKA: Gary Oakes

If it helps, I raked a grand total of about $10 to get my score.
Edit: For what its worth, I'll be going for a strategy change this weekend which will likely involve paying more rake - Sundays effort was too much like hard work! _________________ Not surprised Xavi's been replaced. His pass completion rate was only 89%. Useless. |

Im going to take one shot at this but I only have time to put in such volume towards the end of the month. It'll be harder then because all you mob sharks will be there trying to improve your scores as well. I look forward to it _________________ Master of Puppets I'm Pulling Your Strings!

This is a daft question I suppose but the 'hands won' count even if the hand wasn't raked yes? I.e if it folds round to you? _________________ Master of Puppets I'm Pulling Your Strings!
