Meh. The only scoreless draws in the whole tournament have been the last 2 games.

It's been enjoyable.

i think its been a brilliant tournament tbh. Spain v portugal canceled each other out a bit and playing with no striker seems extremely negative but fairly good game in Connoisseur's way.

It was more refreshing to hear dixon, shearer and liniker talking about how shite the england team are. Spain and germany have all had massive infrastructure overhauls in resent history to combat the fact the "smaller" nations have improved so dramatically. Its time england made a change and developed some decent footballers and not just the sprinters.

Not convinced tbh, knockout games have been boring and not just 0-0 games whereas I thought it would kick off from there. It's going to be fairly forgettable in years to come. Sad

Struggling to make a case for Italy tonight even though I backed them originally at 16's. Safe to say that the German midfield will not allow Pirlo to look like Iniesta like we did. Going to be tough for Italy playing 48hrs later and their match going to extra time and pens.

I don't think it is beyond Italy to beat Spain and Germany back to back but very difficult now I think. Spain rode their luck last night but even the best need to do that from time to time. Really hope that Spain win it now and create history.

I think that part of the problem in England is that our entire league is so cash rich and the financial incentives are so good that we lean heavily towards getting immediate results. So the teams and especially the managers are under more pressure and is why many of them get the sack after only short periods in jobs. Clubs can afford the compo because of the financial rewards but what they cannot afford is failure.

So this desire for immediate results knocks on to managers buying foreign players. Who although are not always better, are often cheaper but in many cases have been blooded by regular first team football in good leagues. Its great to have home grown talent and taking a kid from a very young age and taking them all the way to international level where he is worth 30 million takes a long time and may not even happen at all. Meanwhile clubs cannot afford to wait 10 years to see the fruits of their labour and who know that the drinking and lifestyle culture of English kids often means that they never reach their full potential anyway.

Had my Euro 2012 bet and placed it today.......not sure about the value but sides like Spain and Germany just seem too short as many people have been piling in to them. No team has ever won three tournaments on the spin and you need luck to win any event.

So I think you need to find a team capable of winning it..... who will not be under pressure to win it...... who also have the mentality to win it.....are at decent odds that have been overlooked by the masses...............there we have my formula and so 100 went on Italy today at 16/1

Germany at 3/1 look bad value to me and how can they be almost comparable with Spain when

A. They haven't won anything yet
B. They have a far tougher group to negotiate

Can't make my mind up whether I am happy or sad.......backed Italy at 16/1 to win this and then laid them off before they played England.

Feels like a double whammy as I also missed a percentage of Joe in the 10k PLO Crying or Very sad

I guess that's Italy not getting a Euro bailout when their turn comes!

Looks like I missed a decent game, I watched Nadal getting stuffed rather than he football.

Argh, I can't believe you laid off Italy before the England game! Did you really think we'd get past them!!? Also, you already had the ultimate hedge-England win, you're happy...Italy win, your financially compensated Mr. Green

"Ultimate hedge".......you must be joking.....the way my lucks running at the moment my bet on Italy would have been down and then we would have got hammered by the Germans in the semi-final.

Actually things are not as bad as I make out.......did well on Italy and 1600 to play with leaves a nicely greened up profit. I also laid England pre quarter final and Portugal after the group stages at 7/1 and then pre semi-final so am 3/3 in the Euro's.

But yes.......I made us slight favourites against Italy and no worse than evens......what a muppet Embarassed
