Der Sommer steht vor der Tür. Gnadenlos brennt die Sonne auf die besten Pokerspieler Österreichs. Wer zieht zuerst die Nuts und erledigt seinen Gegner?
Vom 9. bis zum 10. Juni 2012 lädt das Montesino zur Heads Up Challenge. Für ein Buy-in von € 130 haben maximal 200 Spieler Gelegenheit sich im direkten Duell mit ihren Gegnern zu messen. Doch bevor es soweit ist müssen die Duellanten erst die Gruppenphase überstehen.
Die maximale Spieleranzahl beträgt 200 Personen, um sicherzustellen, dass ihr Platz fix reserviert ist, muss das Ticket vorher bezahlt sein.
Am 9. Juni treten 40 Gruppen zu je 5 Spielern gegeneinander an. Jeder kämpft gegen jeden, nach einer Best of Three Serie wird abgerechnet. Platz 1 und Platz 2 steigen fix auf, die sechzehn besten Dritten schaffen es ebenfalls in die K.O. Phase.
Diese startet am 10. Juni und läuft wie folgt ab:
Phase 1: die 16 Drittplatzierten der Gruppenphase spielen gegeneinander - 8 Spieler steigen auf


Phase 2: die 40 Zweitplatzierten der Gruppenphase und die acht Gewinner der Phase 1 spielen gegeneinander - 24 Spieler steigen auf


Phase 3: die 40 Erstplatzierten der Gruppenphase und die 24 Gewinner der Phase 2 spielen gegeneinander - 32 Spieler steigen auf


Phase 4: die 32 Gewinner der Phase 3 spielen gegeneinander - 16 Spieler kommen ins Achtelfinale
Achtelfinale, Viertelfinale, Semifinale und das große Finale werden entscheiden, wer am Ende noch steht und den Sieg bei der Heads Up Challenge nach Hause bringt.
