Please tell me you are not serious - This was first shown almost a year ago - Is there a time limit for spoiler tags _________________ If i want a monkey i get a monkey! |

in fairness people who plan on watching on a series that was shown over a year ago should not be reading this thread.
i think spoilers for series 1 and discussions about suspected plots are what these threads are for no?
fair enough people who have read the books shouldnt be spoiling it for others tho |

I think discussion should be ok after it's been broadcast on UK TV, perhaps with a spoiler used if you're posting within 48 hrs of the broadcast to account for the time-shifters.
Otherwise, you wouldn't be able to discuss 24, which I still haven't got around to watching! _________________ Vi Veri Veniversum Vivus Vici |

After a couple of average episodes IMO, this weeks was a cracker.
King Joffrey being back in it definitely helped, but who was that cheeky monkey being born at the end !! Looking forward to finding out. _________________ 'Impatience for victory only guarantees defeat' - Louis XIV |

Last nights episode took a definite turn to the dark side.. quite uncomfortable viewing.
So much happened last night, think its worth a 2nd viewing.
As an aside, I'm not sure if 'Finchy' from the office is well cast? Maybe because I associate him in that role every time I see him. _________________ 'Impatience for victory only guarantees defeat' - Louis XIV |

It's quite mild compared to the books, i'm told.
Finchy will always be Finchy, whatever he does. A tiny millstone for him, i'm afraid. You can usually get past it, but the first time he appears in a new role, most people go "It's Finchy!" _________________ Vi Veri Veniversum Vivus Vici |

Agree with Finchy, I keep expecting him to turn to the camera and pull a face (ala The Office) in his scenes with Theon.
I have especially enjoyed the acting of Arya Stark & Tywin Lannister. Their scenes have being superb and shown what a great young actor Maisie is.
My favourite line so far this season belongs to Bronn, when talking to Tyrion about Joff and he said "there is no cure for being a c*nt"
So far I have used this line at work for about 5 people |

I think Arya is a great character too.
I especially enjoy the double act of The Imp and Bronn, although favourite line is "ginger c**t three tents down"
NSFW (Spoilered it as profanity is in the title)

| Liking this season a lot. What span of time do the books cover? Is it like years? Because stuff like Jon Snow and Daenerys are going to take ages to become relevant to main action. |

| First five books cover about 3-years apparently. The last episode seemed to deviate quite significantly from the book, I can't remember the council of 13 getting murdered. |

I'm still enjoying this series obviously, but it seems to me that there is so many sub-plots going on that it's hard to give any one of them the time it deserves in 50mins.
For example, The 'Kingslayer' is seen in the initial throes of escaping his captors, next scene you see him in is having been recaptured.. THEN you see Catelyn asking for a sword as if to execute him but THEN apparently she has let him go.. Have some of these scenes just ended on the cutting room floor, do you think? _________________ 'Impatience for victory only guarantees defeat' - Louis XIV |
