I noticed something about a Sky Poker Tour event in Brighton and thought I might give it a go but was worried you have to qualify in on-line or something and I cant be asked with all that so thought I would e-mail them and ask. This is what happened.

With regards to the Sky Poker Tour. Can you tell me -
Can I buy-in Directly at the casino?
Can I buy in directly on Sky Poker?
Can I only enter via a satellite on Sky Poker?

Thanks for your email.Sorry but could you please clarify which poker tour?
(Did they read the first line)

Hi Lee,
Thanks for your email.
In General, the answer to all three of your question is 'no' I'm afraid, however this is subject to change depending on numerous factors, and so it is always worthwhile checking the dedicated thread on the Sky Poker Community for more up to date information.
As these events are largely externally run, i'm afraid we don't tend to have more information this end.
Anybody any ideas how can enter? Certainly wont be playing on their site, clueless. _________________ http://doubleagent22.blogspot.com/ |

From past experience it was qualify via sky online and no direct buy ins, think idea is to encourage people to play on sky and to have sky players at the tour. So answer should have been
No
No
Yes
As for other comments, the point is that sometimes they will allow direct buy ins, maybe more nearer to the event live date and details normally on their forum or the show. I have enjoyed the couple of events I attended (Tikay obv top man) and was interested in Brighton but I will be away. |

| If you become a member of their Priority Club you can buy in direct. |

Yes but need to earn 10,000 points a month. No idea what volume/level of play this equates to. |

Thanks guys, I am not the most tolerant person and one or two crappy useless e-mails and I lose the will to live. I will not be or ever be playing a Sky Poker Tour event. Sure they are as crappy as the people pretending to run them. _________________ http://doubleagent22.blogspot.com/ |

I made a similar enquiry last year for the one at DTD. Found out the its qualifers only unless they are in danger of not selling out then its a free for all to get the numbers with buyin via any method you want lol
There are plenty of sats tho, these you can play when you are bored during the week... or you can play gentings freeroll for european deepstack or pbbg lol |
