Keepers should never be a captain imo |
Keepers are already captains of the defence. |

Lev Yashin? Dino Zoff? |
Yeah there's been high profile examples just don't think you can lead a side from inside your own box _________________ Nil Satis Nisi Optimum |

Best place to do it. You can see everything from the GK's PoV. _________________ Without fear and without favour |

| It has to be someone who is guaranteed a starting spot and at the moment that is Joe Hart and Ashley Cole (and probably Jones cause you have to find space for him) but in the short term the obvious choice is Gerrard, but I don't think for a second he has 10% of the passion for England as he has for Liverpool. If you were picking the team right now to start the euros what would you go with cause i'm not even sure Gerard gets in |

| New Manager, new captain, dump the 30 pluses and take the youngsters to the Europeans. Get them playing together regularly. Hart, Walker, Smalling, Jones, Baines, Wilshere, Rodwell, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Walcott, Wellbeck, Sturridge. Would give them the starting places and bring Rooney back in after ban. |
