At what point does a top 4 premiership team against a mid level championship become bad value?

When there is next to zero chance of the big hitters playing, except possibly Adebayor who missed last week's game. Wouldn't surprise me if Spurs left out all of Modric, Bale, VDV, Parker and Lennon.
Admittedly Spurs can still field a decent midfield, and the goal-shy Hammers managed to bang 4 past Watford - but i thought you were betting on "sure things"? This doesn't qualify, and 4/9 is way too short.
Still best of luck anyway. _________________ You spell bad cess in letters that stretch from here to Seattle |

Erm, since youy were going to do two bets if you win, why not do an accumulator? _________________ http://www.dusktilldawnpoker.com/ispt/ |

Spurs now 1.57 from 1.44... might be worth waiting until seeing teams before taking odds ! |

Rangers only have 1 fit striker tomorrow and it's an overweight, past it, couldn't hit a barn door David Healy. Something to think about if you're going ahead with your bet _________________ Nil Satis Nisi Optimum |

Phew!!
I'll have a think about Rangers.
May lump it on Hurricane Fly on Sunday at Leopardstown!

I thought this Watford vs Spurs game was a banana skin.......ended up all right but the ingredients were all there for Tottenham not winning this game. Tottenham didn't fancy the Europa League and so they probably have a similar outlook to the other cups. When you look at the prize money for the Europa League then it is puny compared to the Premier League and you only get three million euros for winning it. Don't know what the prize money is for the FA Cup but it was 1.8 million last year for winning it........puny when you consider that sides get £800,000 per place in the league.
So too many games and injuries can cost them league places and in Tottenhams case that could mean not finishing top four which is absolutely massive because then you get the following years Champions League prize money and so the difference is massive. Then when you factor in Harry Redknapps court case which can hardly be helping. I would stick to league games if I were you Mark. _________________ Poker columnist at www.poker.co.uk |

I promise I'm not trying to be a doom merchant but I think Hurricane Fly is bad value on Sunday. Running against race fit rivals and out for 9 months. I know that Unaccompanied is fancied by the Weld yard and also Oscars Well is reported to have come on a ton for it's Christmas run. He's the best hurdler either side of the Irish Sea but you would expect the main target to be the Champion Hurdle and for this to put him spot on for March... Good luck with whatever you choose to do but better value in the football this weekend imo |

I think you're right about Hurricane Fly so....
Bets 6 & 7 are as follows (as a double)...
More than 1.5 goals in the Man Utd vs Liverpool game at 12.45 (2/7) + BIG BUCKS in the 3.40 at Cheltenham later today (1/4).
Good luck to me!!

Don't get me wrong Rangers should and most probably will win I just wouldn't have it as a sure thing which is what you've been doing. Gl with the bets anyway _________________ Nil Satis Nisi Optimum |

| I still think Hurricane Fly is value he had a racecourse gallop 2 weeks ago and Ruby said he felt better than ever, and Mullins never runs the top class ones unless they are 100% ready, I have him backed at 3's to win tomorrow and in March so maybe I'm talking through my pocket! good luck with your selections Mark. |

Rangers of course get their biggest win of the season to be fair Hibs should've been 2 or 3 up before going down to 10 men. I'll leave the tipping to someone else _________________ Nil Satis Nisi Optimum |
