In hindsite I am not sure I actually did anything wrong other than not update the thread with progress, something I apologised for, however my only significant cash that took me into 3rd came at the end of the challenge so no-one was disadvantaged by my tardiness.
I have sought the advice of a neutral person, someone we all respect on the forum, with a proposal that I share 3rd place with uh-hu, ie we both get $50 (our entry fee).

For the record; before last night I had a miserly $10 cash which was nicht gut, a run of luck last night in the $6k saw me come 5th for $340ish.
I also don't know how much bankroll I have left from my $200 but assuming I have any left, will play a couple more tournies tonight in parallel to the league, but confirm I rule myself out of any prize money should it become due for the Jan competition since, although I don't think I broken any rules, I didn't enter the spirit of the event which in my opinion is almost as important.
Good luck to you all this evening who are still in the running to win the innaugural monthly MTT competition, if I can overcome my laziness, I hope to rejoin the next one.

No skin off my nose either way Cap'n but for the record this was where you ruled yourself out of any prize funds. _________________ "Brandon Uhl @BrandonUhl

On a happy tangent here...
I just want to acknowledge a win (with no $ attached - yet )
I'm playing the $10 6kG - after finessing my bets, I got QQ to call my KK all in and- thump.
Had 192 chips left. (average about 4k)
Because I played the MTT challenge I've a bit of the 'vet' feeling riding my shoulder.
About 30 mins and some luck later and I have 5300 chips. And I have remained focused and un-crushed throughout.
Granted, I'm still short-stacked, 100/143/600. But I'm kind of (ah geez what do they call that when iron or metal has been worked in the fire so it's stronger...!!!???) well, I'm going to have to go with 'seasoned' but that's not the word I want. Better go back and focus now. Somebody post please if they think of the word I'm trying to say???
edit: out 97th (81paid) when AI w/AsKs vs A3off - ahead and 4 spades by turn but lost to 5 high straight on river) - still feeling solid though- .... mostly _________________ "I find it's best to start the day with no composure and then you've got nothing to lose." B. Boatman

hahaha... not quite timped, because I offer no cash prize Tempered is right there, but I think there's another (or my brain is just ghost hunting again) along the lines of forged, but more, well angst?
edit: aha! had time to click around seeing as I'm o.u.t.
an·neal/əˈnēl/
Verb:
Heat (metal or glass) and allow it to cool slowly, in order to remove internal stresses and toughen it.
(temper is listed as synonym but its definition didn't quite fit.)
So, to re-state, this MTT annealed my game - (ya, I know, sounds weird) - thanks guys!

Does this sound correct?
1st hacket £160 / $250
2nd smoothcallz £96 / $150
Joint 3rd Captain Gee / uh-hu £32 each / $50
Are all 4 of you going to play the March challenge? If so I will hold on to £32/$50 from each of you.
Please email bank details for winnings/ balances to joe@thehendonmob.com _________________ Play online with The Mob at Genting Poker |
