Just a few things with the softwaI played 2 x 5 Dollar Double Ups (6 Man Top 3 Double Up) came in the money in both.
But during the 3rd game (4 People Left) the software starts playing up, it had been fine for 2 hours earlier, it started a massive lag and after a couple mins total freeze, i exited Genting and tried logging back in to no avail, System restart - The software loads my table up but gives me a ipokernetwork is down error code on the table.
Tried Live Support but they say nothing is up with the system (Ash was an idiot)
So now im down my 10 dollars, not a lot to some of you but for us micro stakers just starting off it is |

Just tried to log in to my Genting account where a few days ago I deposited 100euro - I am locked out because the site was unable to verify I am over 18 years of age. The ethical way to do this would be to verify BEFORE they accept my money. Now I get to try to contact customer support via email to sort this. So with their security, they can't see I was playing on Victor Chandler many years ago (because they sponsored LNP and the Mob were the stars) and if I was under 18 now I'd have been a baby savant??? Grrrrrr... _________________ "I find it's best to start the day with no composure and then you've got nothing to lose." B. Boatman

I have been working since 4pm and we have no problems with the network or individual card room at all, as you can imagine, the software is monitored 24/7 for issues so we can resolve any issues before they hit the player however, I am working till 2am this evening, come and give me a shout on the LiveHelp and I will have a look at it for you.
Thanks,
Tom W |

At the moment no, you can make it a little smaller, but can not detach it at the moment. Again, this is something which crops up on a regular basis as customer feedback and has been passed to iPoker over and over. |

Try my best The deal is still new and there are alot of kinks to iron out. Feedback from you guys is essential as if no one ever complains, how are we to know where we are falling down?
It is in everyones best interests that we make this deal work and we will be doing all we can to ensure it does! |

returned email:
Thank you for contacting us.
We have been unable to verify that you are of legal gambling age. When a player makes a deposit, we do a number of electronic checks to verify that a client is over the age of 18. This is a legal requirement of our license and if we do not comply with the license, we could be fined or worse, lose our license.
The electronic checks which we carry out cost us a fee per check we complete, this is why we do the checks when a deposit is made (to ensure they are legitmate players) as the number of accounts which are opened and never used is extremeley high and would cost the company a small fortune. The majority of checks we conduct are completed succesfully and no further action is required however a small number of the checks do fail and we are required to request identification and proof of address from a player to verify their details.
The process is in no way unethical, nor fraudulent and while we can understand your frustration at having to provide the documentation, it is clearly stated in our terms and conditions which you accept upon opening the account that checks will be carried and documentation may be requested.
Again, we apologise for the inconvenience of having to ask for the documents however it is a neccesity.
Feel free to contact us if you have any additional questions.
With regards,
Tom

My issue with this is that it will cost me time/money (internet cafe for copying/scanning fee). I will, of course, do this as I am back into a corner because I want to continue to support/be associated with the Mob league and other tournaments or home games associated with THM forum. I think your electronic checking system must be severely outdated as:
1) I have never run into this before on any of the internationally established (ahem including FT) sites I've deposited and played on and
2) I have just Googled myself for the first time ever and came up with 20+ hits including this one which came up first on the list from Andy White's website (a musician from Northern Ireland from when I lived in California):
time, date 16:34:05, 11.10.97
name Diana Mayo LaPan
street, xxxxxMiami Way
postcode, city Pacific Palisades, CA 90272
county/state L.A.
country U.S.A.
e-mail joyxxxxx@xxxx.com
remarks I found you via alt (via L and Hothouse Flowers) and I'm glad I did. There was a great warm and fuzzy feeling (in a good way) when I saw alt in concert at the House of Blues in L.A. I wish you'd return!
Forum, please excuse the gushiness of my due praise for Andy White (no relation in the parallel universe to Andy Black BTW). After all I was, what, 4 years old at the time of writing?
This is my last post on the subject unless something goes wickedly wrong... but really, how bad would I feel if I'm here, now and 18 again? I just feel like I'm locked in a room by Homeland Security or, basically, being treated as guilty until proven innocent. (My boss who'll let me off work and the local internet cafe who will copy/scan for me don't recognize free legal aid.) Hopefully it's just a bad start to a good thing. _________________ "I find it's best to start the day with no composure and then you've got nothing to lose." B. Boatman

I do appreciate what you are saying, however our license holder wont accept a google search on a person so we have to ask for the ID, I understand its a pain but our hands are tied if we want to keep our license.
If you have a camera phone, you could always take a photo of the docs and email them over to us?
FT I believe had software which allowed you to input a passport or drivers license into the system upon registration and it would check this against a database and verify you to be of legal gambling age, we unfortunately dont have this system. I have worked in the industry for over 8 years and ever since the inception of the UK Gambling Comission and Gambling Transactions been recognised in courts of law, checks like this have to be done. |

I appreciate your friendly response, Tom. I'll have my son to take a photo of my driver's license tomorrow and email it to you or to me and I to you if said verification must come from my own email. (I have an oldish Nokia that won't do the job. But he has an Iphone courtesy of one of my Carbon T's. Since out of one of the Mob added $ T's he did get the bones of a Macbook as well he's always been one of the Mob's biggest supporters and almost as excited as I was when they found a new home )
My only hope is that Genting's and their license holder's protection of the players is as fervent as this pursuit.
*okay I know I said last post on the penultimate last post but you have to answer someone don't you? _________________ "I find it's best to start the day with no composure and then you've got nothing to lose." B. Boatman
