I agree that it is very harsh to knock an event adding 10k. Do people really expect casinos to run tournaments at their own expense and then chuck in some extra free cash on top? I understand the point about bringing players into the casino who may also spend money on side games etc. but this is not guaranteed and certainly not from the sort of person who quibbles about spending an extra fiver online. Anyway, why should a side games customer subsidise the costs of a nitty poker player?! Smile

I think Genting/Circus should be applauded for their efforts in recent months. They have created a niche for themselves in a very crowded marketplace by offering great value entry to events in their own clubs, a couple of good bespoke promotions/events (including this Players Championship), and also run lots of free or good value satellites to other live tournaments.

Genting Poker want a return for the investment they are making? The swines! Rolling Eyes

I will be at a gig in London on the 20th November which is a shame because this looks like it will be good.

Shame that! What can possibly be on in London which would mean you wouldn't want to travel to Birmingham, home of more miles of canal than Venice, birth place of Cat Deely and Ozzy Osbourne? What?

43 Runners have already booked their seats.

Monday sees the launch of some more qualifiers, with more flexibility around when you can play the lext level.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Almost 100 seats now taken.

48 Online Buy Ins & Qualifiers plus

30 Seats taken for Stoke 150 prizes (see other posts)

15 Seats taken for other tournament prizes (see your club)

That adds up to 'nearly 100' in my book!

Looking like it going to be a great tournament
