Folks,
I'm a newbie player who has a little experience in playing low limit HE having played 8 or 9 sit n go tournaments on PokerStars (Note: other online poker rooms are available).
I am soon to play a low level (£10 buy in) PLHE tournament at a B&M casino. Do you guys have any quick tips about the difference in play that will help reduce the chance of watching from the sidelines after 5 minutes?
I realise its a very vague question, but any help would be appreciated, including any pointers to articles etc. |

Try Ralf Slotboom's articles on Pokerpages, gives you a good clue for starting hands at least.

A couple of articles to read as a starting point can be found at http://www.cheeseypoker.co.uk/static/...es/articles.aspx.
Good luck.

Take enough rebuys to last more than 5 minutes? B)
Seriously, you are going to have to write off a few weeks and a few £ getting a feel for things and observing the varied playing styles. A lot of people don't read books/use computers/think about what they are doing/improve/care/ever win etc. and you will need to work out for yourself when to lay down Kings and when to go all-in with your Q7 and KNOW you are in front!!
If you ignore the smoky atmosphere/miserable old gits/ridiculously late finishes, then you should find at £10 a pop your learning experience is a relatively pleasant one!
Happy hunting.
