Not a bad result for originally only wanting the tournament $$ of 175? Practically doubled it. _________________ stejens |

Thanks Bogus. I appreciated your post when I read it.
Finished 3rd out of 6049.
We made a deal 5-handed. I agreed on 2042$, was 4rth in chips at the time. Pretty much close stacked, though.
Original price ladder payed 1966$ for 3rd place, 1367$ for 4rth, 1st place was 3788$.
At the moment I feel okay about the deal. I had been playing for more than 9 hours, up all night.
I obv did consider a number of things, but I was wondering wat other people's thoughts are on this.
Thing is: I don't have any experience with deal making at a FT of a MTT of this size.
I sometimes agreed to make deals back on Full Tilt in 90-seater Sit&Go's for peanuts.
I've uploaded a screenshot of the lobby at the time of the deal and also with the altered pay-outs afterwards. Feel free to share opinions.

depends on the quality of the players, stack sizes etc
but the one thing i would say is never type first! let other players discuss what they want and then come steaming in at the end with whatever u want - u will have a better idea who are the desperate players (who always type first) - and therefore can be milked for extra $s!!
being able to back up ur ability by being able to show players ur a winner over a long period on sharkscope / opr etc always helps.
and the longer u sit there letting players the better as they get jumpier!
also work out which deal is better for u (chip / chop or ICM) and obviously ask for that deal. |

Sorry to be a tool but not sure of the difference between the 2 options. Could you please explain? |

just changes the way the money is distributed. chip chop is better for bigger stacks and ICM is "fairer" so distributes better for shorter stacks.
there are calculators for both out there so stick some numbers in and see what comes out to get familiar with whats best. |
