Maybe he doesn't want to hide his hand. Surely the only reason for 4betting PF from MP with 72 is to advertise to someone (his opponents or more likely the viewers at home) "look at me, I'm crazy!" |

"PartyPoker.com is pleased to announce the latest signing to its grassroots team that rewards VIPs, customer loyalty and historic links to the leading online poker room. 29-year-old Palladium Elite player Bodo Sbrzesny from Bruchsal, Germany, joins France’s Remy Biechel, Brazil’s Felipe Ramos, the UK’s Ian Frazer and the legendary Mike Sexton in the ranks."
Must be on the back of this hand. |

I think river is check fold or check call here.
i think donking river is pretty bad as its not really for value and and your opening yourelf up to getting bluffed off the best hand by a decent player.
Blocking bets only really work against specific people and i dont now if he is one of them, but even then i think its too big as a big block bet. |

I don't think you should call 4-bets out of position with 'small' pairs. Of course JJ isnt a small pair but a 4-bet represents a better hand.
The problem is that you can't really call for set value as you're out of position and the implied odds aren't there. Suppose you indeed had 99 and had played the hand the same way then you didn't get your stack in and double up. You called 1400 to win about 9600.
The other problem with calling for set value is that you check-called the Kxx flop. So what happened to calling for set value here? You've got to be honest with yourself. Without some read that he was full of it I think folding pre-flop is better. |
