Entrants so far
Day 1A so far has 77 registrants but with entries still being accepted that may increase. Players choosing the first of the two starting days include Rob Akery, who finished 2nd in this event last year, leg winners Rupinder Bedi, Colin Wu and Neil Blatchley, Henning Granstad, Barny Boatman and Victoria Coren. Anthony Hames, who you may have seen rather more than you would have wanted to on TV show Sin Cities, is also playing.

Deep stacks
The players start with 15,000 chips and the levels are 1 hour, so don't expect any early eliminations without some serious hands going head to head.

Aces are good for Price
On a board of 9 5 J 3, Sze-Ching Ngui moves all-in and after 5 minutes is called by Robert Price

Sze tables Kings to the Aces of Price.

The river is a Queen and Price nearly doubles his starting stack .

Sze still has some chips left as he had Price covered.

Pot size: around 27,000.

Wu'd you believe it
Colin Wu raises from mid position and is called by Kai Paulsen on the button. The flop comes QSpades QHearts KClubs and Wu checks to Paulsen who bets 500, about 2/3rds the pot. Colin Wu thinks for a short while before calling. The turn brings QDiamonds and again it's checked to Paulsen, who throws in a thousand chip declaring a bet of 800. Again Wu calls. The river is a meaningless 2Clubs and now it's quickly checked by both players. Wu turns over pocket 7s and the aggressor, Kai Paulsen, quickly mucks his hand.
