Green at the gills
With the board reading K T 9 4 , Ben Chisholm checked and Nigel Green bet 6000 into a pot of similar size. Chisholm raised to 12000 and Green called. Chisholm checked when 5 hit the river and Green bet 10000. Chisholm pondered before calling. Green was reluctant to show his hand and turned over one card: J . Nothing. Chisholm tabled J T and scooped the pot with second pair. A nice call.

Grand Old Oprey
Jamie Morgan raised to 6000 in middle position and Carl Oprey moved all-in for an additional 15100. Morgan said he was probably pot committed and Oprey said that he hoped that was the case. Morgan then did the maths and found that he was getting 2-1 on the call. He said he was definitely behind and was probably making a donation but eventually stuck the chips in the middle with A J . He was getting roughly the right price against Oprey's K K . A flop of J 6 3 gave Morgan extra outs but 6 on the turn was not one of them. However, A on the river was and Oprey hit the rail. |

McGinn out
Grant McGinn found a spot to get his short stack in with JQ on a flop of 10 J K but his opponent Mark James had flopped the straight already with Q9. No ace on the turn or river means McGinn is now out of the tournament.

Big hands collide
From the cut off Alistair Findlay raises to 7,500 before Mustafa Sepanji moves all in from the button for 15,400 more. When Gerald David calls from the small blind, Findlay decides it's time to bail out and he's right. David shows K A but Sepanji has K K
A low board of 2 4 2 3 9 is good for kings and Sepanji more than doubles up.

Big fold by Beaumont
Lynne Beaumont raised to 7000 under the gun and Harry Zammit re-raised a further 20000 in middle position. It was folded back to Beaumont who thought long and hard before folding ace-king face up. It is a big hand to fold so she must have had a good reason. However, since Zammit declined to show his hand, she will never know if her instincts were correct.

Eglintine on the march
After being on the critical list not so long ago Carl Eglintine is building a decent stack. His 8 9 just flopped two pair which was good enough to eliminate Tony Slater. Eglintine's stack now looks to be at around the 75,000 mark.

Double-Up for David McCrone
Its folded all the way to McCrone on the button, who moves in for 17600 and is called by Tony Slater.
Both players table their cards.
McCrone: Q Q
Slater: A 6
Flop: 10:spade: Q 7 9 2
McCrone doubles up to around 34,000 Slater is left very short. |

Ford forges ahead
A mammoth pot on table 4. Brian Greslow got it all-in pre-flop with pocket queens against Zachary Ford's pocket kings. A flop of A-K-J looked good for Ford but actually doubled Greslow's outs to four. However, turn and river of 7-A gave Ford a full house, the largest pot of the tournament so far (at least 150k), and the chip lead.

Zachary Ford started the day as chip leader and has cemented his place at the top since. He now leads the way with 285,600 - nearly double the second place stack.

Millar ground down
In a battle of the blinds Jamie Millar moved all-in for around 35k from the small blind. Once again big blind Carl Eglintine faced a big decision on his first hand back at the table. He eventually made the call with T T which was in great shape against Millar's 9 6 . The board ran out K 4 2 J A and Millar's bluff failed to pull off a bad beat and he hit the rail.

Sepanji the early mover after dinner
After Niko Hanninen had raised from late position Mustafa Sepanji pushes his whole stack in from the small blind. It's a big bet for Hanninen to call but he doesn't want to fold - he is after all Scandinavian. After some thought Hanninen sticks his chips in and tables A Q which is racing with J J
There is no help for Hanninen though from 10:spade: 9 2 4 8 and Sepanji picks up another nice pot.
