Agreed - I love that movie. So it was very disapponting to sit through the avengers assemble and not really conect to the story. Mark Ruffalo and Downey Junior were great, but it just didn't do it for me. 6.8 out of ten. _________________ @oneshotbobby on twitter |

Very competent. Didn't really make me feel anything. Could have used more emotional hooks or more graphic violence, any number of Hollywood tricks. Reminded me of that whole genre of Hong Kong film that I haven't watched because I suspected they wouldn't make me feel anything. I have a personal rule that if you're going to show people being killed you should show the looks on their face as they realise that they're dead. Doesn't matter what else you show. The first scene (I think it was first, the first scene with the baddies anyway) did this really well, but then they backed off afterwards. Very competent though. 7/10. |

Faces in the Crowd (2011) Milla Jovovich
A horror-thriller centered on a woman living with "face-blindness" after surviving a serial killer's attack. As she lives with her condition, one in which facial features change each time she loses sight of them, the killer closes in.
Awful plot, hammy acting, corny as hell, bad make-up, all round crock of s*** 2/10
Enjoy. _________________ 'Impatience for victory only guarantees defeat' - Louis XIV |

Chopper is on Film4 tonight at 11pm, great film imo
Chopper tells the intense story of Mark "Chopper" Read, a legendary criminal who wrote his autobiography while serving a jail sentence in prison. His book, "From the Inside", upon which the film is based, was a best-seller. _________________ 'Impatience for victory only guarantees defeat' - Louis XIV |

Chopper/Eric Bana, the character in the film, looked a little too much like Ian Huntley, which spoiled it a little for me, I think. _________________ Vi Veri Veniversum Vivus Vici |

Never thought of the Huntley similarity before, but I can definitely see where you are coming from Peter.
As you say Seb, he comes across as charming, some of his one-liners are hilarious. I like the scene where he goes round to see Jimmy, 'hello little girl', his voice cracks me up, also court scene is LOL _________________ 'Impatience for victory only guarantees defeat' - Louis XIV |

american pie the reunion. 7/10 very enjoable romp into your childhood. the seem a little contrived but some are still funny as hell. stiffler is still pretty hilarious
snow white and the huntsman. 5/10. not bad for teenagers. terrible acting. disjointed plot. dwarves were very good though. i think we are a year or to away from a classic though. _________________ The next best thing to gambling and winning is gambling and losing.
