Danny Trejo as an OAP vietnam vet who goes vigilante to avenge his best friends murder. Entertaining enough, but standard for the genre, no surprises.

American Pie: Reunion 8/10

one of the best films ive seen this year so far, if you liked the old original ones then this will be your favourite of the lot. Dont want to spoil it because i know you guys are already leaving the house to go watch it Wink

Avengers - 8/10 - ticked all the boxes, some good Whedon stuff. Nothing will make me care about comics or superheroes though.

Didn't see Cabin yet.

Avengers 3D - just so much fun. Can't think of a better way to spend 9 euro. As adventure/action movies go - 10/10.

So I finally watched Cabin in The Woods after avoiding any spoilers and it was pretty good, but not what I expected from the "must avoid spoilers!" hype. It was tonally and thematically surprisingly like Buffy (even had a nod to a Faith moment). Good film, clever, maybe too clever, probably won't stay with me very long.

Oh, I was actually much more emotionally involved with The Avengers.

I always choke up when the mob comes across the drawbridge to the beast's castle but was disappointed with not many good 3D effects.

Catch .44 7/10

Drug-deal hijack goes wrong. Tarrentino/Pulp Fiction style out-of-sequence, in fact its quite Tarrentino-esque.

Bruce Willis sells the film on the box/posters, but has a relatively small role, Forest Whitaker carries the lead.

Easy enough to watch, don't expect anything groundbreaking and it'll be fine.
