Started the day on table 1 but only 80k odd so hope he's still in.
And say good luck to Danny from Clapham Alex if you see him too..... |
I'll see what I can do.
This break is 40 minutes instead of the usual 20 so that the 100 chips can be coloured up and an accurate count of the players left can be made. Only ESPN are permitted to cover the hand-for-hand action, so we won't know much until the bubble has burst. I guess we'll be back with more in about an hour... |

Thanks loads. Know it must be difficult.
Just got a message from him (15 minutes ago) saying 14 left till bubble so might be back in action a little quicker than you thought........ |

70 tables, hand-for-hand, showboating for the cameras... trust me, it's going to take a while! |

25 minutes of this level have been spent dealing four hands and eliminating four players! The first to go was Ted Forrest.
They should really stop the clock during the hand-for-hand period. |

A hand involving Donnacha O'Dea. Blinds 2k/4k with a 500 running ante. Chad Brown open raised to 12k from mid-position. A young gentleman of oriental extraction called in the cut-off and Donnacha called from the button. The blinds folded. The flop of was checked to Donnacha, who bet 25k, leaving 38k behind. Chad Brown folded quickly, but the cut-off asked how much Donnacha had left. This prompted the ESPN crew to descend on the table. The cut-off then spent the next five minutes dwelling up and counting his chips for the cameras before folding his hand. Thanks for that.
The last 1h 10m has seen 12 hands dealt. We are five from the money. |

Lucky was short when I saw him last, but that was before the break. Only ESPN are allowed inside the ropes, so I can only see the outside tables until the bubble bursts.
He was one of the chip leaders on 900k at the break. I can't imagine much has changed in the last 12 hands.

He was at the break, and healthily stacked. He and Gus are on the ESPN feature table, so I can't get near them. |

Correction: 13 hands in 1h 35m. This is really bad news for the short stacks, who are going to find themselves playing 2,500/5k blinds as soon as the bubble bursts.
Danny Palmer and Adam Noone are still there with two to go. |

Gus Hansen Likes the River
John Duthie, Gus Hansen, Matthew Hilger, and the big blind all limped in and saw a flop of . Duthie led out for 9,000, Hansen called, and the blinds folded. The turn was the . Duthie checked, Hansen bet 13,000, and Duthie called. The river was the . Duthie bet 31,000 and after thinking it over for about 2 minutes, Hansen called.
Duthie showed the for a pair of tens, while Hansen turned over A-8 for a pair of aces and took down the 116K pot. _________________ http://morlspin.blogspot.com |
