1. What are good starting hands, or is there no such thing as a good hand just a good flop?

2. In no limit and pot limit holdem, there are big suck in hands like calling raises with ace rag and K J etc. What type of hands are similar in Omaha Hi/Lo?

3. Does anyone know of any freeware to try hand odds?

4. Is it best to play for the hi or both the hi & low pre flop, but to avoid playing just for the low?

5. I’ve read that if you flop a big high hand, you should play it aggressively to stop your opponent(s) drawing to the low. But if you make the nut low is it beter to play it slowly to create action?

6. Who are considered to be the worlds leading Omaha Hi/Lo players?

7. Are there any books/web sites that provide good info?

Surprisingly enough after I slagged his book off a good beginner strategy is in Phil Hellmuths book.

Well, using his starting hands got me a long way to final on Pokerstars $10 O8 tourny Friday for a nice $330 second prize (along with a lot of luck too!).

That site looks a good resource as well.

Annie Duke has some tutorials on UB.

www.ultimatebet.com and look for Team UB or Annie Duke links
