If you fancy a gamble, you might want to think about buying some LTCs (litecoins) and hanging on to them for the long term.

I beg to disagree with you Mike31115. Bitcoin is a good investment if you just believe. Ok, call it Ponzi scheme or any pyramiding terms you like, but look, why do you think large companies and investors are starting to incorporate it? Do you think this kind of scheme will not give them any good return? Of course it will, if not now surely in the future. In fact, reports say that online merchants who accept bitcoin as payment option increased their revenue about 10%. Not bad, especially for small entrepreneurs. If you want to earn, you can also try bitcoin betting. (Mod Edited site name) for example offers huge jackpots like ฿ 1.867 BTC in lottery which is approximately $828.

Gonna start buying bitcoins monthly from May 1st... with a value of 333 ($500) as a single purchase.

Target value = $10000

I'll offer a prize of $100 (into your PS or FT account) as to what date my bitcoin collection will be worth the $10k.

Competition closes on April 30th.

I'll update this thread on a regular basis as and when I buy each block of coins.

Good luck!!

Mr. Green

Turned out ok

Everyone seems to be talking about crypto currencies purely in terms of investment products.

In reality in order for them to become more common (and they are becoming so) more currencies will have to come into being. Then the type of investment product they become will become ENTIRELY different.

Bitcoin who knows. Crypto currency is here to stay though ..or further develop.
