Hi to all,

recently I'd a very bad beat in Campione while playing the 15th IPO past Friday.
Down to 35k after loosing with AQs on an 6-6-Q Flop (someone called pre with 6-8s) I was facing a raise (no limper to the initial raiser in HJ) and woke up with KK on the button.
The Hi-Jack had about 27k in chips and the blinds have been 500/1000 with Antes 100.
He open raised to 2k7 and got my answer in form of a 3-bet of 8k3.
He tanked quite a while and called with pocket-deuces.
He got rewarded in flopping Quads, calling my c-bet of 2/3 of the pot and unfortunately on the turn I made full Kings over deuces.
Of course it went all in and I snapped him....

In my opinion his call (heads up) was very -EV.

Any idea what was on the mind of this player?

Kind regards

Gee

depends on how many flops he carries on with. your 3 bet stats aswell.
seems fairly -ev given the tight range you are presenting here.

Just can't follow the thinking of bad players...
Sometimes it really drives me crazy...
With what kind of motivation some people join the tables I ask myself sometimes...

However...
Yes, my range is tight to very tight (even actually working on a more laggy style) simply because playing otherwise 'over here' doesn't make sense...
So many players who call you down with middle pair fairly weak kicker always supposing a bluff...

have seen things...

recently someone called my all-in shove of almost 1k with J-4s.

J-4s !

Flopped a flush against my BP.

And and and...

Cheers

Its not difficult to figure out why this guy called your pre-flop re-raise.

When hold 22 players like this always assume you're holding AK, when they hold A7 they assume you're holding 66.

the question you have to ask yourself is, did you want him to call pre?

hopefully they can pass a law soon that stops all bad players playing.
i only play cash games with phil ivey, tom dwan, patrick antonious and scot seivers now.
I lose all my money safe in the knowledge that there are no bad poker being played. phew.
