Am Rev281 obviously. samanta199O posted their BB all-in but folded to my raise because they were sat out. Is this standard on PS? Don't really play there so not come across this situation before. They were knocked out as a result ending the 50/50 game.

Yes it's standard, even if you just call a sit out player their hand is folded

What happens in a live game in this situation? I'm sure i've seen it at least once that the all-in player has a live hand even if they're not at the table.

I guess it depends on the venue/tournament rules?

In some tournaments your hand is dead if you aren't seated when the first/last hole card has been dealt. Don't see why being all-in would change this.

If you aren't at the table, you can't turn your cards over, so your hand must be dead, right?

the one and only tourney i ever played at GutShot there was a guy with a one arm and the tourney was self dealt, a right twat got moved to our table and i was shuffling and dealing for the lad with one arm and Mr Twat decided to rant about the guy saying if he cant shuffle the cards he shouldnt be playing, at that point the young lad just tapped his plastic arm and grinned at Mr Twat, Ive never seen anybody turn such a shade of red in my life, i could see he felt sick to the stomach at what he had said, not sure if it was through embarrasment but he donked off his chips really quick and left very quickly.

I agree with this for the live scenario.

Online, some sites kill the hand and some keep it live. I'd agree with killing the hand.

Seat 7: creegie didn't bet (folded)

This was a pretty annoying hand for me at the time!

I'm quite used to how it works on FT now, but I think being folded is fairer.

Matt Savage said a 'sit out' player could go on to win the tournament, I don't think thats possible, or at least realistic. But they could have gone on to cash in this instance, and I believe they do in many large mtt's, which I don't consider fair.

Live its a dead hand!!

Online i think is more of a grey area for me, what happens if you or the server disconnect before you are about to be all in??

Agree with Daniel, pisses me off when people sit out in tournaments, but the structures arent normally that good to cash. I think its more of a problem in sit n go's.
