Having a root around the Internet for 'historical' items can be fun.

I found THIS from 8th June 2000 relating to my old poker website 'poker-in-the-uk.com' and my comments were around my win at the GB poker championships in April of that year http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/event.php?a=r&n=2527

http://web.archive.org/web/2000061915...com/editorial.htm

My site went live in June 1999 and if anyone can find any pages from my website from around this time then please post them here...

By the way...whatever happend to Dave Colclough??

I saw Dave Colclough playing something somewhere pretty recently - I'm sure he's still around.

+1

Was searching the other end of THMF for fodder and found this one:

Which proves:

#1 Balloo had Advanced Stowjon Syndrome, even before iPhones existed
#2 I still find old jokes funny

Im a low stakes poker player with the honesty to know that I am lucky if I can be called average!

However For a weekend in 2006 I maxed out the CC (I was getting divorced and was in my 'what the hell' period) I high tailed it to Deauville to play in 2 of the side tournaments of the EPT which I could manage if I didnt eat.

Totally couldnt afford it - totally against all forms of bankroll management -and the most amazing weekend ever!

Chopped a 1k sit and go 2 hours after arriving - Really would have blown most of my BR and still have sleepness nights when I question what I was doing in that game - anyway the gods were smiling and I turned 1k into 4.5k and then had the best 2 days of my Poker life. Marc Arden - thank you for offering the chop - still my biggest poker score!

I managed to make a fool of myself by asking Joe Beevers where he was from. Sorry Joe - you are a gent..

I had a sit n go with Neil Channing and Vicky Coren and got whitewashed! Johhny Lodden was in the game too - I look back now and think that was probably the finest 8 players I have ever sat down with.

And.... I sat next to Dave Colclough for most of the Saturday in the side event tournament - He was knocked out after a number of hours but I really enjoyed the experience and he was a really nice gent who I enjoyed watching in every pot he was in.

At one stage my chair backed onto Ram's who was in the main event final - seriously I can see myself on the TV coverage lol! Its the nearest Ill come!

Looking at his HM profile Dave is still out there and still winning.

One of the original stars of the TV Poker world - Pleasure to meet him.

I played with him at The Vic about a month ago and that was the first time I had seen him in months. I haven't seen him since but I am guessing he still comes in once in a while.
