Hey guys, Im not gonna make this an all long winded post. Im just gonna make it an honest quick to the point post. As some of you guys who know me quite well on here know ive been having a few problems at home with the missus. and ive had to make a decision (not forced by her in any way shape or form) it was a simple choice in my mind.

A: poker
B: Family

Its a no brainer im afraid and the poker has gotta go. This morning ive deleted 7 poker sites from my lappy and every forum link except this one, which i will now only be visiting once in a while. I have told the missus that i will not play online again this includes the last 3 games of the hendon mob league which is a shame as i have only missed 1 which puts me in stead for the loyalty game. there will be NO MORE stowjon organised syndicates, the social club league that i set up over 6yrs ago in my village will be handed over to one of the regs whom im sure will kill it within 2 seasons, and i will be playing no more home games with mates.
BUT i will be playing 1 or 2 live events a year im not sure what they will be yet but im sure they will be based on what people on her will be playing, i am loathed to not play the IPO if boyles run it again as i LOVE LOVE LOVE this tourney (i came 13th dont you know Wink ). I would however like to still be captain of the team event at the international on the 19th May as this is my birthday and im looking forward to this i am sure the missus is ok with that being my last hurrah so to speak.

Sad news Jon.
Family is always the number one.
Its always hard to break into the world of poker , ie - becoming pro,semi pro or even at the recreational level.
I too had the same predicament last year. It was either family or poker. And seeing as ive been playing this lovely game for 9yrs now , and have not got the "break" yet , it was time to trim down the hours poker wise.
Family win hands down mate. Good luck for the future and we will definitely still stay in touch.

When you say "family", do you mean a girlfriend? Or wife and kids?

Agreed that family comes first, but not sure it's necessary to completely stop.

Surely a couple of hours on a tuesday is manageable?
