Im detecting not much love for Gibson. Very Happy I don't think it's a bad deal personally, for a million quid, and he's preferrable to playing Neville or Heitinga in CM ,who've both played there recentley.

IIRC were Sunderland going to pay about £5mil for him in the summer but it fell through, and Steve Bruce has always been a good judge of player Wink

Rangers sign Mervan Celik Shocked Shocked

Can't see a rush to get that on the back of the strips (slang pronounciation for Celtic around these parts to clarify)

Had an offer for Grant Holt knocked back as well

Sell our top scorer 3 January's in a row it's the way forward Very Happy Seriously though I'm not convinced he'll cut it in the Premiership but here's hoping

I was going to ask you how you think he'd do, but obviosly know you have split loyalties so thought I'd wait to see what you said.

Can honestly say I've not seen too much off him, one thing that sticks in my mind was a pretty bad dive against Celtic in the League Cup Final last year. That said, at the moment Everton offer no threat up front, so a bit of movement and pace (if he has any) will be an improvement.

Just heard Saha is being linked with a loan to Spurs, if we could get him off the wage bill that would be great, but personally think it's just a crazy rumour!

Yeah he goes down pretty easily which I don't like but then who doesn't these days. He's a class apart up here (scored 36 in 55) has a great touch and can run at defenders but he's handcuffed at the moment playing in a poor side with no passing game so I'm probably being a bit harsh on him. He deserves to play at a higher level though and I hope he does well, it's been a while since Everton had a striker who scores regularly Smile

Here's the obligatory Youtube video that can make anyone look like a world beater. no sniggering at the back with regards to the SPL defending

He is much better than Shorey. Belhadj would be a good signing.

Defoe to Liverpool is doing plenty of rounds as well.

The Pienaar rumour was first out as a straight loan swap til the end of the season. But at the moment sounds permanent with Pienaar going there on loan.

Maybe Saha to Spurs on a loan isn't the worst move. You never get a good buy in January etc etc...and if Pav wants to go so badly then get a striker in as cover so you cna offload him to CSKA and then really go after someone like Benzema in the summer.

Saha wouldn't make a bad benchwarmer for Spurs, but if there's any truth in the Defoe to Pool story then I don't have a clue.
