Thoughts on river?
Hadn't seen him 3-barrel the whole tournament and we are 2.5 hours in.

the fact you've called every street doesn't give us too much to go on and he could easily be bluffing here
hands you are losing to are AxKc AxQc KKc QQc KQ(either a club)
if he puts you on a low club he could barrel away, or perhaps he thinks you might have Ax or some kinda 2 pair hand with no club, possibly thinking you just called on the turn hoping for a cheap showdown as you have shown you either have a club or don't think he does
now has you have an ace and there is one on the board that makes AK AQ less likely
with your club as back up why not raise the flop and get it in if he shoves?
as played give the amount of chips you have I think i'd call and hate life when he turns over 24cc for the straight flush ;] |

I think the fact I have called on every street on a dangerous board had to tell him my holding was strong.
I think he shoves for value here, wayyyyy more than shoving to bluff. The way he plays this I think it is highly likely he has Axkc, or Ax qc. If the Tc doesnt hit the river, I think I may call as this could be a likely holding as well i.e. AxTc.
I personally believe that calling here is a bit of a leak - not many players at that level 3 barrel shove into that sort of board, especially when my holding range looks pretty polarised. What am I calling with on the turn except a flush (maybe a set).
Would be interested to here others thoughts? |
