I tipped City to win the PL on another thread, i don't see them as outright faves, i just suspect that could well go close if a few factors go their way.
If Chelsea & Man Utd stay relatively injury free, then i would expect them to finish top 2, but if they have problems, i think because this season will be tougher losing key players will be more of a problem for them, then in previous seasons.
In Mancini, they have a manager who is used to winning the league, so he will not be afraid of Man Utd or Chelsea (could be a big factor).
The squad is experienced enough and has players who have won titles, which is another big factor when the pressure is on.
I don't expect City to lose many games, a failing may be to many draws (like LFC the season before last), but with players like Tevez and Balotelli (who I have seen a lot of and he is a rough diamond), they are going to get chances in every game and I won't be surprised to see a lot of 1-0 wins (esp away from home).
Silva is a key, he is a potential top class player, but he is lightweight player, but Luis Garcia did great for LFC from the start, so why not Silva (esp as Silva is a better player).
Adam Johnston is excellent, so they have good width, a solid centre midfield, solid defence, 2 top GK's (until Given goes), so there are not many weaknesses in the squad.
I think City fans can be optimistic about this season. |

And how do you come up with taking Barry but not Yaya Toure? |
tevez definately but i would prefer villa and rooney up front in starting 11.
i think our weakest position is that defensive midfielder role. I would prefer barry but i would prefer yaya to carrick. |
Yea i would have tevez int he starting 11. i do like our new mexican though and time will tell, also man city should get me to do the player acquisition as i got villa playing for man city. _________________ The next best thing to gambling and winning is gambling and losing.

Man City getting more like Real of 5 years ago by the day when they just collected the superstars of the time. I like MC though, hope they do well although not at the expense of Liverpool ldo. _________________ this ain't no tall order this is nothing to me, difficult takes a day, impossible takes a week |
