As this is kinda sport related I thought I would post in here.
Anyone know of any hotels near old Trafford?
Looking for a room on 20th Jan for 1 night, as I am going to see United v Derby County in the Second Leg of the Carling Cup Semi-final. Kick off at 8 PM and as I am travelling up from Newbury I will need to stay overnight.
Not looking for anything flash or fancy. Just somewhere to lay me head for the night. _________________ A man chooses, a slave obeys. |

Won't have the obvious dig.
When I've been up there watching the gooners we stayed in the cricket ground. Cheap, clean walking distance and you can leave your motor there.

| I stayed at a hotel right by the Trafford Centre, which has the added advantage of the retail park right in front of you for shops, restaurants and cinema etc. It has now been taken over by Premier Travel Inn so you should find that one ok. |

Thanks for the replies. Booked the Cricket Ground one. Walking distance to Old Trafford and nice and cheap.

i find this whole thread quite remarkable
football supporters asking where to stay on home games
its just laughable on so many levels
football is so diluted now
going to the match now is just so awful
there are a new breed of supporter who have ruined football
anyone who says going the match now is great
never went in the 70's or 80's
and don`t know any better
Liverpool supporters>>>you all |

Well I don't normally go the late evening KO's as often the hotels put the prices up to an extortionate rate.
Was going to go to the Roma game last season. Could have got a ticket no problem. But I ain't paying nigh on (at some establishments) £200 for a night when same room the day previous was going for £50. This is why I was asking. I knew someone on here would know of somewhere that would be cheap so I wouldn't get ripped off. I don't see what the big problem is with that tbh.
I don't know what you are refering to with regards the 70's and 80's as I wasn't born till 1984.
My father is however a Liverpool supporter and has been to games. _________________ A man chooses, a slave obeys. |

£49
A lot cheaper than I have had in the past. Just fed up with these hotel chains trying to rip you off.
