In the Tour Diary (1st October, Barny describes a hand in which Seidel raised with A,10 and then called an all-in pre-flop raise, which happened to be against a pair of nines. Barny then put forward a possible explanantion for this type of play - to make players think long and hard before re-raising him. There is obviously some pretty complex thinking and pyschology involved in this play if this is the case. Would Barny care to expand on his thoughts here? I had the benefit of watching Seidel quite a bit in a few of this year's WSOP events and he was highly impressive, with a couple of genius plays and no end of exceptionally good reads on top players.
