My Poker Diary

2 - Getting Started : Your Account

The first thing you need to do before using the Poker Diary is to register an account. Just select Register from the side menu to display the registration form :-

Simply type your desired username, real name and password, along with your email address, and click Register.

  • If your desired username is already in use by someone else, we will invite you to type another one.
  • You can leave the Real Name field blank.
  • Passwords are case-sensitive.

We will then send you an email with a Web address which you must click (or paste into your browser) to validate your account. (You must have a valid email address to use the Poker Diary.)

You can have more than one Poker Diary account registered to the same email address if you wish.

Logging In

Once your account has been validated, you can login by selecting Login from the side menu.

You will then see the side menu has changed. It shows your login name, along with a new range of options.

Any option marked with a is expandable. You can click it to show the range of sub-options.

Before After

Your Account Details

Click on the View option under My Details to see your account details. This should be what you just entered.

To change these details, click on the Edit option.

Your Username is fixed and can't be changed. Your Real Name is optional and can be anything you like.

NB If you change your Email address, you will be asked to revalidate.

Lost password? Not validated?

If you ever lose your password, there is a Lost Password? link on the Login page which you can click to request a new one.

Similarly, if you have an unvalidated account (you haven't got the validation email, or never received it for some reason) you can click the Need Validation? link on the Login page to request the validation email again.

Can I play with the Poker Diary without registering?

Yes; there is a guest account which is open to all. The username is guest and the password is guest. You can use the account to create and edit test entries and to get a feel for how the Poker Diary works.

NB! These entries can be changed or deleted by anybody at any time. Don't put anything in there you want to keep.
